A practical way to review AI search visibility

Use a defined prompt set, dated observations, and source-level review to make a changing picture easier to discuss.

AI search visibility is most useful to discuss as a set of observations. One answer to one prompt is a limited view. A repeatable review starts by defining what you asked, where you asked it, and when you recorded the response.

Build a prompt set with a purpose

Choose questions that reflect the information your audience might seek. Group them by topic and stage of the decision. Keep the wording and review conditions in your record so the next review has a meaningful point of comparison. Avoid treating a small sample as a complete picture of demand.

Look past a mention

A brand mention and a useful citation are different observations. Review how the answer describes the topic, which sources it uses, and whether those sources support the statements they are attached to. Save the date and context with each example so a later reader can understand its limits.

Turn observations into research

If a useful page appears to be missing from the conversation, inspect the page itself. Does it answer the question clearly? Is its evidence visible? Can a reader understand who wrote it and why they should trust the information? These are questions for a content review, not a promise that changing a page will produce a particular answer.

Report changes with the sample size and review conditions attached. Let the record help your team ask better questions. The sample dashboard in this template demonstrates that workflow; it does not collect answers from AI providers or calculate real visibility scores.
